hi we're at wms 2013 and i'm just going togive a brief introduction to our nederman s-series dust collector. this one behind meis the s-500 and the 500 stands for 5hp. this dust collector is good for up to 1500-3000 cfm. the s-500 has a 5hp fan and it's a material handling fan, which means that the dust and chips are coming into the fan inlet and being blown into the hopper. the airstream is going to slow down and the heavier chips and dust are going to fall down into the collectionbags and any of the lighter stuff is getting blown up through the filter bags. the filterbags are one piece sock sewn in one piece. that is one of our advantages compared toa bag that has a seam down the middle of it.
basically because you're blowing air throughthe bag and that seam is where the first place it's going to tear. another big advantageof these filter bags is there's a carbon fiber wire that is sewn throughout the bag and that'sgoing to help ground the bag from any static buildup. when you want to clean the filterbag, basically the unit is going to be off and all you're doing is simply hitting thebags by applying physical force to shake the dust cake off the bag and getting it to fallinto the collection bags underneath.
