hi everyone! it's allanah here and in today'svideo i've got my santa hat on and my very girly christmas tree is over there! becausethis video is going to be a christmas special! yeyy! so i'm going to be showing you all howi hand painted these really cute disney christmas decorations for my christmas tree. so i paintedpongo and perdita from 101 dalmatians, buzz lightyear from toy story, elsa from frozenand darth vader from star wars. so carry on watching if you'd like to see how i made them.byeee before i get started here is a quick beforeand after shot of how the christmas decorations look now that i've painted them. & i justthink they look so much nicer now, they've got so much more character and they are alot more brighter and cheerful.
to begin with i found this pack of wooden baublesat tk maxx and they were actually in the clearance sale, so i decided to buy them just so thati could paint them! for the very first step i removed the metalhook and the rope from the bauble and this was really easy to do it just literally un-twisted.i then sanded off the thin layer of varnish that was already painted onto the bauble,just so that i'd have a clean, fresh surface to work on. i then grabbed my gesso primer and i painted the surface of the decorations until the ornamentwas covered in an opaque layer of white paint. once the primer had dried i chose the charactersthat i wanted to paint and i drew them onto the decorations with pencil. i then startedthe painting and it's just as simple as that.
for my first design i chose to paint elsa.i love to watch frozen and christmas time so i thought she'd look really cute on mychristmas tree. for my second design i painted buzz lightyearfrom toy story. i decided to add a galaxy behind buzz just to give the design a bitmore dimension. i really love how he turned out! for my third design i painted pongo and perditafrom 101 dalmatians. and last but not least i decided to paintdarth vader from star wars, i thought it'd be a really nice idea to create a decorationin honour of the new movie that's out. i also think that chewbacca would look really greatas a decoration as well and so many other star wars characters, so maybe that's somethingi might do next year.
